What I Eat In A Day – As A Mom of 4

I’m a busy mom of 4 and right now as we do virtual school every day it can be easy to let healthy eating habits slide to the bottom of my list but I’m trying to be more intentional about what I eat. After years of trying different diets or ways to lose weight what I really want is to feel good. When I am intentional about what I eat, not necessarily following a diet, I feel better. I give my body what it needs and try to listen to my hunger cues so I can make good decisions. I also realize that at 40+ years old my body isn’t going to look the same as it used to or even respond the same to what I eat or when I work out. This is totally normal.

What I Ate On This Specific Day

Breakfast

  • 2 Eggs over medium
  • Half and avocado
  • 1 slice of Toast
  • Irish breakfast tea with a splash of milk

Lunch

  • Salad with Balsamic Chicken Breast from Trader Joe’s. Salad contains lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and croutons and I topped it with honey mustard salad dressing.

Dinner

  • Beef Shwarma
  • Couscous
  • Cucumber, Tomatoes, Kalmata Olives
  • Hummus
  • Tzatiki
  • Feta Cheese
  • Watermelon

Evening Snack

  • Dark Chocolate covered Banana

This is a pretty typical day of what I eat. I may also eat a small snack in the afternoon.
