Earlier this year my family took a vacation to central Florida. We spent at day at LEGOLAND and it was such a blast, you can read about our one day at LEGOLAND here.
I’m a planner and always love to find ways to save money while traveling with my family. So before our trip I did a lot of research on ways to save money on admission and our day in the park. I found a lot of great ways to save at LEGOLAND, so if you’re planning a family trip check out these tips.
Look for BOGO offers
LEGOLAND often includes Kids Go Free with the purchase of an adult ticket coupons in the LEGO magazine or in LEGO products. I found this coupon in a LEGO magazine at our local LEGO store.
Check the Website
LEGOLAND regularly offers a lot of specials on their website. They offer a Military Discount, Vacation Package Deals, Homeschool Days Discounts, Scout Days and other season discounts typically advertised on their homepage.
Consider an Annual Pass
IF you think you may visit LEGOLAND more than once within a year the Annual Pass is a great deal. Not only do you get unlimited admission to the theme park and water park there are many other perks like free parking, admission to special events, 10% off dining, LEGOLAND accommodation discounts, discount on additional guest tickets and unlimited admission to Madame Tussauds Orlando, SEA LIFE Orlando and LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta! That’s an amazing deal if you ask me!
Buy Tickets Online – In Advance
You get a small discount if you purchase your LEGOLAND tickets online in advance rather than day of at the park gates. Even if all the other discounts don’t apply to your trip you should still be able to save a few bucks buy purchasing tickets online.
So now that you’ve gotten a great deal on tickets how can you save money in the park. Theme park prices are inevitable however there are some great way to save a little cash along the way.
Pack Your Own Food
LEGOLAND has a great policy on outside food. You can easily pack drink, snacks and your lunch to bring with you into the park. If you have your whole family this could potentially save you a couple hundred dollars. Check out the guidelines on what food and drink items are allowed and prohibited in the park.
Bring Your Own Stroller
LEGOLAND has strollers available for rent but at $16 for single seat stroller and $22 for double seat stroller it can save you a few bucks if you can bring your own.
Bring LEGO Minifigures for Trading
You can bring your own Minifigures from home to trade with LEGOLAND staff members. Don’t bring your favorite minfigs to trade but it’s a fun and inexpensive way to get souvenirs.
Pack a Bag with Essentials
Bring a back pack with all the essentials you might need throughout the day so you don’t over spend at the gift shops. In my bag I like to bring: sunglasses, sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, snacks, portable phone charger, and a poncho.
Set a Budget
This may seem like a no-brainer but it can be easy to over indulge while you’re in the park. Set a budget for food and souvenirs. We like to give each of our children a set dollar amount they can spend on unique LEGOLAND Florida items. This helps us know we are all sticking to the same budget and allows us to have more fun.
So there you have it, hopefully these tips will help you save some money on your next trip to LEGOLAND Florida. I know LEGOLAND is always offering new promotions so you should always be able to find some kind of deal on park admission. Other places you might want to check for park discounts are Costco, Groupon, VisitOrlando.com and many more. A little research could save you a lot of money.
