Every year I take my boy to pick strawberries at a local strawberry farm. They love to load up their buckets with red juicy berries, usually more than we could possibly eat. I typically freeze some of our berries to use in smoothies and then I make a super easy chia seed strawberry jam that the kids love.
I love this recipe because it’s so easy and only requires 3 ingredients!
Strawberry Chia Jam
Easy to make 3 ingredient strawberry jam
- 4 cups strawberries, sliced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
Add berries to a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally for about 5 minutes.
Add the honey and bring to a boil. Let berry and honey mixture boil for about 5 minutes.
Mash lightly to reach your desired consistency.
Stir in the chia seeds and let cook one minute.
Remove the pan from the heat and let sit for 10 minutes. The jam will begin to thicken.
Transfer the jam to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.
