Discovering Raleigh Area Parks & Playgrounds

·

We’ve visited dozens of parks and playgrounds throughout the Raleigh area over the past few years.

There are two different parks systems in this area:

  • Wake County Parks
  • Raleigh Parks

Wake County Parks primarily consist of historic sites and nature preserves, however, they do offer a lot of amenities and great outdoor spaces. These parks are located throughout Wake County.

Raleigh Parks are all of the playgrounds, parks, greenway trails, and recreation centers. These parks are only located within the Raleigh city limits.

And then of course there are all the neighboring town parks that I’ve included.
