This is my favorite smoothie recipe. I drink it several times a week and will occasionally mix up the ingredients by using different types of berries, nut butters or milk but it’s essentially the same basic recipe.
My favorite way to make this recipe is with peanut butter, mixed berries of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries and almond milk. Make sure all of the fruit you are using is frozen so you get a nice creamy consistency. I you prefer more of a juice you can use fresh fruit.
Berry Nut Butter Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 tbsp nut butter of choice
- 1-2 cups milk (cow, almond, soy)
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
Add frozen banana, berries, nut butter and chia seed to blender.
Pour in desired amount of milk and blend until smooth, add additional milk until you reach the desired consistency.
