Perfecting the Picnic

·

Almost weekly, I take the boys for a picnic. Unless the weather is horrible, we find a way to eat outside. When we’re out exploring we don’t want to stop just to go get lunch somewhere so packing a picnic lunch is a great way to extend our outings.

I have some go-to picnic items that I almost always pack but every once in awhile it’s nice to switch things up. My go to list looks something like this:

  • PB&J Sandwiches
  • Apples
  • Squeeze Yogurt
  • Crackers
  • Cereal Bars
  • Carrots
  • Water Bottles

It’s not exciting, but it gets the job done. I packed all the food in one cooler, and each person got their own water bottle. I also keep a picnic blanket in the back of the van so there is very little prep time needed when throwing together our weekly picnic.

Recently, we decided to switch things up and add some fun new items to our weekly picnic. Here are some of the fun treats we added:

AquaBall, the sugar-free, naturally flavored water is perfect for a parent looking for a healthier alternative to all of those sugary kids drinks. Available in four flavors, Fruit Punch, Orange, Berry Frost and Grape, AquaBall features fan favorite characters from Disney’s Frozen, Disney Princesses, Marvel Avengers, and Disney Classic Characters. The boys thought these were amazing. Not only is the packaging fun but the flavored drinks were a special treat for my boys.

And finally a little treat for mom and dad (I guess kids too). Bauli Mini Croissants are sure to turn your picnic Parisian with their delightful, light taste. These mini treats are made in a REAL oven with no preservatives and naturally leavened dough and are available in two delicious flavor fillings: chocolate and vanilla custard. At just 50 calories a pop, these snacks are guilt-free and made for sharing…although you might not want to!

I was provided a featured products free of charge but all opinions are 100% mine.
