Fighting off Spring Cold Season

·

The boys (including Joe) have developed mild colds. I always hate when they get sick in the spring. The weather is so gorgeous and we love to spend as much time outside as possible but sick little boys need to rest.

Sick days are never any fun but we try to make the most of it. We buy special drinks and snacks to make sure everyone gets all the water and nutrition needed to help their bodies heal. We stay in our most comfortable pajamas and watch movies while snuggling on the couch under a pile of fluffy blankets. We may not feel well but we try to make sick days as bearable as possible. In addition to getting lots of rest, hydration and good food we also use some great over the counter medicines to help alleviate their cold symptoms.

ChildrensAdvilMnemonic

For all their aches and fevers I use Children’s Advil. Children’s Advil is a favorite because it comes in several great-tasting flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. There’s also Infants’ Advil White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.

Coughing and congestion always seems to be worse at night so we use Children’s Robitussin DM Day/Night Pack (Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion and Children’s Robitussin Nighttime Cough). The non-drowsy daytime formula helps break up chest congestion, while the long-acting nighttime formula relieves coughs and runny noses to help kids get the rest they need.

ChildrensDimetappMnemonic

During the day we also like  Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough because it tackles a child’s most bothersome stuffy and runny noses, all while working to relieve cough.
