Last week Jude and I ventured to Brier Creek Commons in Raleigh, NC to check out the new Elevation Burger. Elevation Burger uses quality ingredients to create food that is not only flavorful but nutritious as well. They use organic, grass-fed, free-range beef that they freshly grind to create their burgers. They also serve fresh fries that are hand-cut and cooked in olive oil.
Elevation Burger and O2 Fitness Nutritionist and Dietitian, Courtney Locklear taught me that grass-fed beef is actually lower in fat than grain-fed and therefore has fewer calories. Grass-fed has 2-5 time more omega-3’s than conventional beef product. (Omega-3s protect against heart disease, high blood pressure and are important for our brains.)
Jude got a kid’s burger with 6-month-aged cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and ketchup. I also got a kids burger with 6-month-aged cheddar cheese, organic bacon, and caramelized onions, with a side of the elevation sauce it was delicious. I also tried the Veggie Burger #2 (the vegan burger) topped with the 6-month aged cheddar cheese and hot pepper relish. I’m not a bit veggie burger fan but this was pretty tasty, of course I opted to eat the grass-fed beef burger first. (They also offer a Paleo/low-carb lettuce wrapped burger option.) We also split a side of their delicious fresh fries which are a thin cut fry.
Then we were presented a few of their fun milkshake creations. Elevation Burger offers milkshakes made with 1 of three ice cream flavors: chocolate, vanilla or coffee. Then you have the option to add in 1 or 2 of their topping options. Toppings like real strawberries, real mangoes, Oreo cookies, key lime, malt powder and more. Of course if you can just get a scoop of ice cream in a cone. Jude loved the chocolate ice cream.
I think the prices at Elevation are competitive with higher quality burger joints. The Elevation Burger (which is 2 organic beef patties) costs $5.99 and most toppings are no additional charge (cheese, bacon and mushrooms cost a bit more). A side of fries cost $2.99 and could easily be split among 2 or 3 people.
I also really love the environment of Elevation Burger. As a mom with 3 little kids it’s important that we can get in and out rather quickly. At Elevation Burger you walk up and order at the counter and then they call your name so you can pick up your food. You are getting a sit-down quality burger meal in an easy come and go environment.
If you are in the Raleigh are check out Elevation Burger.
