Baby Registry Must-Haves

· ·

Over the past 5 years I’ve tried a lot of different baby items and have determined there are only so many baby items that you ACTUALLY need. The “Must-Have” items, if you will.

Sure, there are pretty little baby things and convenience items (that you think you’ll use but you never actually will) but if you’re like me you have a limited budget. I don’t mind paying a little more for top quality items but only if said item is going to be worth it. Dropping hundreds of dollars for an item I may use a handful of time is NOT going to happen.

My theory is add anything you want to your baby registry because you never know. (Check out the full baby registry list here.) But there are a few items that everyone should put on their registry and you won’t regret it, I promise.

Good Infant Car Seat – Safety trumps everything when it comes to car seats. Recommendation: Britax Car Seats

Double Electric Breast Pump – Even if you aren’t going back to work and plan to exclusively nurse it’s nice to have a high quality double electric pump on hand. With a good pump you can increase your supply, release pressure from overproduction, donate to milk banks, or save up for a date night. Recommendation: Medela Breast Pumps

Video Monitor – It will give you peace of mind to see your little on sleeping safely in their crib. A video monitor is also awesome for keeping a close eye on sneaky toddlers. Recommendation: Infant Optics Video Monitor

Baby Food Maker – Ok, so you don’t HAVE to have one of these but seriously it makes the process so much easier. I love making my own baby food but it was always such a hassle but with a machine that steams and purees, AWESOME. Receommendation: BEABA Babycook

Swaddle Blankets – Oversized Muslin Swaddling Blankets are amazing. That is all. Recommendation: Aden + Anias Swaddle Blankets

Baby CarrierWraps, Slings, Structured Carriers… there are many different kinds and everyone has their favorites. I have several I use but ultimately being able to strap baby to me so I have my hands free to do other things is where it’s at. Plus baby loves it.
