Benefit of the Burbs – Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

It’s been almost a year since we moved to the suburbs outside of Raleigh and we have no regrets. We are raising our kids in the same house where I grew up which is pretty cool.

Living in a developed neighborhood has its benefits: swimming pool, walking trails and community events.

With all the craziness that has happened this past year we haven’t had the opportunity to meet to many of our neighbors so we try to attend as many planned community events so we can get to know our neighbors.

This past Saturday we took the boys to the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. I wasn’t sure how many kids would be there but was pretty surprised at how many people showed up and even more surprised at the number of young kids with cool looking parents.

The boys had a blast hunting eggs and waving at the Easter bunny.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay too long because Noah was in desperate need of a nap but I’m really looking forward to this summer and the chance to meet more families.

The burbs aren’t so bad after all.
