My in-laws gave us an ice cream maker when we got married. Along with the ice cream maker my Mother-in-law also gave me her ice cream recipe (which is actually more of a frozen custard).
The first time I used the ice cream maker I decided to use one of the recipes that came with the maker and it was a total flop. So now I almost always use my mother-in-law’s recipe. (Always a winner!)
The other day Whole Foods had a sale on Cherries so I knew it was time to make a batch of my annual Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream.

That ice cream maker looks awesome! I haven’t made ice cream since I was a little girl. It sounds amazing.
It really was awesome! We actually registered for a cheap ice cream maker but my MIL insisted on getting us a nice one. I appreciate it now.
YES! YES! YES!! I love recipes like this! I’m making this for the girls before school starts back for sure! YUM!
Cherry Vanilla is one of my fave ice cream flavors. I haven’t had it in ages. Now I want some!
You are making me drool!! Yum!! I love cherries and ice cream. I have to try this!! Thanks for the recipe. I need ink in my printer and as soon as I get some I am going to print this!! Thanks!!!
I *do not* like cherries after a very bad experience with some chocolate covered cherries but I’ll give it a try. If it turns out bad… 😀
I’m actually really looking forward to trying this; cross your fingers I don’t screw it up.
haha I thought I didn’t like cherries because all I’d ever had were Maraschino Cherries YUCK. Then I tried fresh cherries and I can’t get enough.
