So Mad I Kicked a Hole in The Wall

Did you see that episode of The Middle where Sue and Brick accidentally knock a hole in the wall? Then they try to repair it and only make the situation worse. HYSTERICAL! I couldn’t help but laugh as I watched their misfortune unfold and I was reminded of a similar situation I had when I was a kid.

As if junior high isn’t hard enough with the hormones and awkwardness I had to be super clumsy and hyper emotional. One day after school I was home alone. I don’t exactly remember what brought on my emotional rampage but I was livid about something or another. As I stomped around the house I gave a quick kick to the wall. As I was mid kick I began to lose my balance and ended up kicking a hole in the wall. I stood there in amazement and complete panic. I knew I was going to be in big trouble for kicking a whole in the wall but I was surprised that I was strong enough to make such a large hole. I didn’t really know what to do since at the age of 13 I had no drywalling skills. So I did what any rational teenager would do, I put the sewing machine in front of the hole.

The sewing machine was sitting out because it needed to be taken to the repair shop. It just happened to be sitting next to the hole my foot created so I just slid it over. I thought no one will ever know, until they move the sewing machine and then I’m toast.

A few days passed, the sewing machine was taken to the shop and the hole magically disappeared. I never heard mention of the hole and just assumed my parents thought one of them had made it or something. I guess I should ask them what really happened and why I never got in trouble.
