Paleo30 Day 7 + Day 8 – Hitting the Wall

We’re hitting a wall. I’m still hungry after eating and eating. My body misses the carbs.

On Day 7…
For breakfast we made Irish bacon, which is sort of like Canadian bacon but will a better accent. I also had 2 scrambled eggs cooked in coconut oil and green tea.

Then for dinner I made barbacoa but my recipe was super spicy. I’d made some rice for the boys and because the heat was so intense Joe and I had some heat to counter act the spiciness of the meal.

After dinner I wanted all the snacks but managed to stay on track pretty well.

Day 8 was really tough.

I think I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. For breakfast we had Canadian bacon and eggs and a banana and some green tea.

Lunch was leftover barbacoa atop a baked sweet potato with a lot of avocado hoping to cut the heat… it was still spicy. All afternoon long I was hungry and couldn’t find anything to satisfy my hunger.

Dinner was the best meal of the day. I made a London broil with roasted asparagus topped with bacon and goat cheese. Even though dinner was good I was still hungry later that night. Joe tried to make us some pineapple ginger smoothies but I didn’t really care for them. I don’t like ginger as much as he does apparently.

The cravings will go away 🙂 I’m not Paleo, but I eat low carb. I’ve tried this recipe the past month or so to rave reviews and happy bodies 🙂 I exchange the honey in the recipe for maple syrup and omit the walnuts. First batch I made with dried cranberries, then ran out. But they’re still good plain. And I have been using Bio oranges instead of clementines. I buy my almond flour at If this is Paleo legal for you, I think you and your carb cravings will be satisfied 😉
