Easter Books

Easter baskets filled with candy mean sugar-loaded kids bouncing off the walls, so let’s replace some of that candy with books.

Billy Bunny and the Butterflies

Billy Bunny and the Butterflies by Maurice Pledger is a beautifully illustrated flap book about a little bunny searching for butterflies. Noah really loves to help me identify all of the different animals and bugs throughout the book. This is a great book to teach toddlers and preschoolers the names of different animals.

Play-Doh Counting Bunnies

bible storybooks

Play-Doh Counting Bunnies teaches kids to count to 10 with brightly colored Play-Doh images in a small board book. Jude loves this book because there are so many fun things to count. I would like to try to recreate some of the fun Play-Doh figures on our own.

The Comic Book Bible

Even though Jude can’t read yet he has an appreciation for comic books that is obviously inherited from his dada. The Comic Book Bible tells stories from the Bible in comic book form with detailed illustrations. Joe likes to read these familiar Bible stories to Jude from The Comic Book Bible. Stories from both the Old and New Testaments are included.

My First Bible Stories

feelings book

My First Bible Stories is a colorfully illustrated book combining several stories from the Old Testament including Joseph and his amazing dream coat, Daniel being thrown into the lions’ den, and Noah and his ark. I really like that these stories are written in a way for young children to understand the basic principles from the Bible.

Totally Monster Feelings

Not an Easter-themed book but this is a great book for preschool children as it helps them understand and express their feelings. This is Jude’s favorite books from the selection of Silver Dolphin books we received.

Preschool Feelings Book

All of these books and others from Silver Dolphin Publishing would be a great addition to your child’s Easter basket this year.
